TAURANGA ITEMS.

Tauranga, this day. At the inquest on the body of the girl Sykee, found on the Fanipani Beach, held at Tauranga yesterday, evidence went to show she had been drowned a month.
Afire occurred at 12.15 a.m. to-day in Mr'R. J. Alleley's photographic studio in the middle block of the Sbrand. The buildings and contents wero destroyed. Maxwell's bakehouse and Tanner's stables were partly burnt. The total damage is about £150. The insurance is £45 in the Manchester. It was a narrow escape for the whole block. An inquiry will be held.
