OUR FOOTBALLERS.

Thb bbreo senior matches to bo played tomorrow are Grafbon v. Ponaonby, City v. Suburbs, and Newton v. North Shore. The first mentioned will bo played in front of the stand at Epsom. Of the three, however, none is of any special interest, the GraftotiPonsonby .contest being; between teams which have little chance of winning the cup, and the other two matches being easy things for City and Newton. In connection with the first and second junior cups there will be two important contests. In the first junior championship, the lasb matches of fche third round will be played to-morrow, and if Ponaonby 11. succeed in defeating City 11. that will establish their right to this season's Cup. Aa Ponaonby have not yet bean beaten, and City only once, a final match will be necessary if the latter win. With regard to the Second Junior Cup, Ponsonhy 111. play Suburbs 111., bub whether they win or loose their claims to championship honours will be unaffected. This will be the last match of the third round. A general meeting of delegates to tne Auckland Rugby Union was held laat evening for the purpose of considering rule 24, which relate* to the eligibility of players under the district gjchetno. Mr, J. C. Webster presided.
