The manager telegraphed to-day :— " Southern drive : Taken down lode ; 61b of good picked stone." Shares sold up to 5s 3d. The manager alao reports regarding the h.ac parcel of picked stone that about Sib ara equal to one ounce or more to the pound. The leader from which the stone came is a little in the footwall of the main lode, and junctioned with tbe latter. Is will average one inch in width, with excellent wails. Tha lode is four inches wide, carrying colonrs of gold. This is entirely new ground, far away from old workings. •
