STANBURY ALIVE.
CAPSIZED IN THE THAMES,
HE SWIMS ASHORE,
London, June 9. It appears that Stanbury lost a scull while out practising, and trying to recover it upset his shell He dived into the river, and swam ashore. His empty boat was found by a passing skiff, which at first led to the belief that he had .been drowned. He has since resumed training. Sydney, this day. The reported drowning of Stanbury caused a great sensation here and in Melbourne, with a corresponding feeling of relief when the second cable was received.
