MINE MANAGERS' REPORTS.
Empire.—Since my lasb reporb, I have confined operations to the low level. We are still working on tbe reef, which yields payable prospects in tho dish. I have every reason bo believe bhat ib will improve the further we drive. I am also pushing ahead with the main face, with the object of intersecting a larger reef formation, which outcrops on the surface some little disbance ahead of where we are driving.
Katie,—Mr John Bremner reports : —" I beg to inform you thab Mr Edwards and myself paid a visib to your mine bhis morning. The level is now driven for a distance of 130 feeb through good sandstone country. The indications in bhe face show thab the reel is nob far distant, as bbc same is intermixed with Bmall ironstone stringers and quartz veins, consequently bhe reef oughb bo be to hand any day. I have also informed the manager bo send word aa coon as the same is cub."
