THE MAIL STEAMER.
Shortly before eight .laßt evening, the R.M.s.. Alameds arrived in port from Sydney. She left thab port on Monday afternoon last ab 5.15, sighted the Three Kings ab 1.45 yesterday morning, and rounding the North Cape ab 4.45, waa abeam of Cape Brett) at 11.45, and made fast to the wharf as above. She experienced light variable wind?, with high easterly uweli, till making bho New Zealand coast, thence easterly winds and heavy seas to arrival. Shortly after 2 this afternoon the Alameda, in continuance of ncr voyage to San Francisco, sailed for Apia and Honolulu.
