Business continued brisk in the Stock Exchange to-day. Auckland Gas shares, old issue, sold at £13, and new issue were wanted at £7. New Zealand Insurance advanced still further, sales being made at 73s 6d, wibh further buyers at 73a. In mining stocks there was a good demand for high-priced shares in proved mines. Waihia were wanted at £6, WaibiSilvertona sold ai. high aa 80s, an advance of 8a since Wedneaday. Woodatocka also rose in value, sales being made from 22a 3d to 23a, with still buyers ab the latter price. Waihi Consolß Bold freely up to la 2d, Sovereigns were a shade easier, but large lines changed bands from Is 7d to Is 6d. Rapai-Vermont shares sold in fair parcels at 8a 4d, at which price there were firm buyers. Other stocks showed little change in value, with the exception of a demand for M&ritanas, which shares advanced from 9d to Is Id,
