Ivanhoe. —The manager wired to-day "Cut reef two feeb wide in the Ivanbe lower ievel crosscut." Crescent.---The drive is now in ISO feafs. Quartz veins are met with in the face of the drive. In the Orient section the drive is in 160 feet, aud the reef ehould be cut shortly. . South British.—What appears to be very large lode has been found out-cropping on the surface abouc 150 feet outside of the south boundary of this mine in the Earl i Glasgow. This reef must pasa through tl South British. Some of the stone shows gold freely. In the south-east crosscut) a quartz formation five feet wide has been , passed through, also a rubbly leader from which colours of gold were, obtained. The reef is 3 feeb wide, and has a promising appearance. Victoria.—Afe No. 2 level the lead han varied from 3 to 12 inches in width, and although no gold is seen, the quartz has • kindly appearance. Stoping operations are I proceeding as usual above No. 1 level. This block has been opened up for 250 feet. - The bad varies from 3 to 18 inches, and a little gold is seen in the quartz. Occasionally a few pounds of picked stone are selected. The lead on the eastern side of the winze lookß exceedingly well, and from the character of the quartz a haul of specimens should be obtained here.
