Waihi Extended.—The newly discovered reef in this property is still being driven upon, and appears to be going east towards the Grand Junction property. It ia about a foot wide and encased in nice sandstone. No reliable idea of the value of the find can be arrived at until the lode has been cut at some greater depth, as the present drive is very near the surface. The management will probably sink on the reef, bub may have to put up a rise to the surtace before doing so in order to improve tbe ventilation. , Favo.ma.—Operations on the reef are at present at a standstill awaiting the baking over of the property by the new English company. As soon as this is completed a main shaft will be sunk, tho present one only being a prospecting shaft. The men are at present engaged clearing away for the formation ef a paddock. Silviekton.—Cleaning up will take place at the end of nexb week, when it is anticipated the return for the tonnage treated will be quite up to expectations. Owing to the scarcity ef water, tho battery has not been utilising its full strength, but this difficulty should be pretty well gob rid of after this month: Kinsella's Freehold Co.—Tenders are called for by Mr Ralph, local director, for the above Company for driving 200 feet in this property. Waitekauri Cross G.M. Company.— Tenders are called for driving 250 feet of crosscut in this claim, returnable up to 28th insb. .
