ACTION FOR DAMAGES.

CiiBiSTCHnBCH. this day. In the Magistrates Courb yesterday an action was begun in which Walter Daniel, a wharf labourer, claimed £200 damages from the Union Steamship Company for injuries.sustained in consequence, it waa alleged, of negligence of the Company's servants through defoctive machinery. The case was adjourned till Thursday.
