KAURI GUM MARKET.

There was a fair arnounb of activity for good and euperior qualities of ordinary and East Coast. Poor qualities ore without demand. Supplies of swamp gum continue to come in to an overstocked markeb, as far as thab grade is concerned. Recent heavy rains will no doubt drive the diggers from the swamps to thohilla again, 80 thab larger supplies of better grade gum should come in shorbly. Supplies for the fifteen days of currenb month are about 228 tons. The average quotatione, delivered in Auckland, are as follows: — Poor ordinary ... £30 to £33 Fair ordinary ... .- ... £44 to £48 Good ordinary £50 bo £52 Superior ordinary £5o to £65 East Coasb £?4 t0 £7S
