London, February 27. Mr Goschen, ex - Chancellor of the Exchequer, speaking at Lewes, said he was delighted to see the strong hold that Great Britain possessed of the hearts of colonists. The relations at present existing with Germany were excellent, and he said it was a dangerous fallacy for foreign statesmen to believe Great Britain would never fight for outlying interests. International log rolling, he asserted, had caused British isolation, which he thought was easily terminable.
