ONE MAN DROWNED
MORE DAMAGE* BY FLOODS,
Brisbane, this dny. Quite fifty oub of eixty-two miles of the Clermont railway are submerged, and the permanent way is badfy damaged in tnaDy places. Three hundred cases of distress hare been relieved in Townsville. The weather is now terribly hot. The echobner Lavinia was totally wrecked off Majotic Island during the cyclone. One man was drowned.. Northern towns report fierce gales, bub bhe cyclone seems to have concentrated its efforts on Townsville.
