THE ROTORUA FIRE.
David Ross, tho second victim of the recent fatal tire at Rotorua, who died yesterday at the Sanatorium ab Itotorua, was quite conscious up to the time of his death, The authorities at Wellington have been communicated with to see if another inquest is necessary. The inquest on the body of the man Farroll, who vras burned to death, resulted^in the following verdicb being returned :-^*" That the man Farrell met hit death by fire, bub there is- no evidence to show, how such fire originated," The following; rider was added by the juty ; —" We are of opinion thab boarding-honsea should bo under strict police supervision with reference to facilities for escape in the event of fire, as the present fatality has occurred owing to defective means of egress. Further, that the regulation! in thai) respect regarding hotels should be strictly enforced."
