The Leader of the Opposition, addressing his consbituenbs, said he was considering the advisability of retiring from politics. He could not eupporb the Ministry, nor join a Labour Ministry, and he could nob stand another five years in Opposition with a divided team. Tba position of Leader of the Opposition was always difficulb, but it had been greatly increased in the late Parliament.
