A GIRL LEAPS FROM A MOVING TRAIN.

Hokart, January 22. A sensational leap from the mail train running between Hobarb and Launcescon was made by a young girl named Brown, travelling in a compartmenb with Davidson, member of a firm of engineers. The girl fell asleep. Davidson alleges he took a nip of cough mixture containing pepperminb and aniseed. Tho girl awoke, and believing the smell to be that of chloroform tried bo attract bho attention of tho passengers of the next compartment. Failing to do so ?ho thon dropped from the window. The girl waß found uninjured except a few bruises. Davidson was taken into custody, bub ib is generally believed the girl was labouring under an hallucination.
