A narrow escape from drowning occurred this morning ab Pakuranga. Two boy*, nephews of Mr Alex. Bell, farmer, of Pakuranga, accompanied by thair uncle and a farm employee named Norman McAliater, went down to the creek to bathe. Oue of the boys, David Bell, 8 years of age, who was bathing with McAlister, got out) of his depth. McAlister, who was unable to swim," wenb to help, with the result that both 'grasped each other aad sank, and would have been drowned but for the timely arrival of Mr Bell. The two were re=cued, the boy being in an unconscious condition. Dr. Erson, of Onohunfja, was telephoned for, and restorative measures were taken, with the result that both are now out of danger,
