A private letter from Bnluwayo dated the end of November mentions that thcro is some talk of tno English taking tho Transvaal, aud thab the Chartered Company's corps, with ten maxim guns, l„d then gone aonth under secret orders, and the impression in the country was that the Transvaal would fall an easy proy.
Mr Rhodes protests that he know nothing of Ju_6Bon'B contemplated expedition.
Sir Hercules Robinson, Governor of Cape Colony, hus ordered avery officer with Jameson's force to r .tiro.
It is reported that bhe Queen has ordered bho Duko of Eifo to resign from tho British South Africa Oharterod Company, ot which ho ia Vice-President and Director, but tho roport is officially denied.
Ib was rumoured on the Exchange today thab Jomeeon had reached Johannesburg withoub fighting.
