Washington, December 28. The financial criaia overwhelms the Jingo feeling. Ib is understood that the President and his advisers are strongly opposed to the Bond Bill-
Mr Carlisle. Secretary to the Treasury, informed the Commibtee of Ways and Means thab the condition of the Treasury was serious, and that) ib was necessary for Congress to declare that) all obligations should be paid in gold. The Committee refused to consider this proposal. Senator Hill suggested tho issue of gold and silver bonda at the option of tho Treasury. Washington, December 29.
The House of Representatives have passod the Bond Bill, including the issue of the debt certificates, and has adjourned until January 6th. The Senate will on Tuesday next discuss the tariff proposals in Committee.
