WHAKAPIRAU FLOWER SHOW.

Odk Pahi correspondent forwards tho prize liab and other details in connection with the VVhakapirau Show, Tho Executive Committee were :—Messrs McMurdo (Chairman), H. Gruy. F. Somner, H. Smith and James Robb (Secretary). The judge of tho horticultural department, Mr 0. Hay, of Auckland ; judges of industrial exhibits, Mrs !)r. Mountaino, Miss Harereaves and Mrs McMurdo ; judges of class V., industrial, Dr. Mountuine and Mr Gibson ; judge of egEB, Mr H. Swallow ; judge of pictures, Mr Webber. There were over 400 entries, besides a number of things for exhibition only.

Ab the concert in the evening the Rev. Mr Wyatb officiated as Chairman, and played the accompaniments to the songs of the" Auckland vocaliste, Mr Leslie Dix, Miss Fitzpatrick, and Miss Mabel Maxwell. The sonys contributed by local amateurs wero: "The Cauld Blast)," by Mrs and Mas-tar Milne ; " Scotland Yet," by Mr R. Douglas; "The Caatle Gate," by Mr J. Douglas; and ''• Excelsior," by Mrs Milne. Prizes for etove and greenhouse plants in pots wore taken by Mr W. H. Jackman and Mr Somner, Mrs YV. Chadwick and Mr MeMurdo. In Claee 11., for cut lowers, the prize winners were: Mr H. McMurdo, Mre Gibson. Mrs YV. Chadwick, Mr W. H. Jackman, Mies W. Upton and Mrs Adams, and for best floral wreath Mre Paige won tho first prize, Mr W. If. Jackman, 2nd; and Mrs Forrester, 3rd. Beat collection cub flowers, grown in tho open air, 24 varieties : Mr W, H. Jackman, l«ti ; Mr 11. McMurdo, 2nd. Besb collection annualß, six varieties : Mr YV. IT. Jackman, 1 ; Mra Upton, 2. Hand bouquet : Mrs Uptoa, 1 ; Miss YV. Upton, 2 ; Mrs Adams, commended. Table decoration, not exceeding three feet square : Mra Gibson, 1 ; Mies Rathbone, 2 ; Miss McMurdo, hifjhly commended. Three button hole bouquets : Miss Eva Coatee, 1 ; Mies May Coatee, 2 ; Mrs Adame, highly commonded. Four epraya fuchsia-, distinct vuriotios : Mis* N. Mellsop, 1 ; Mr W. IF. Jackman, 2. Bast bouquet native buah flowers : Mr W. LI. Jacknr.tn, 1 ; Mr 11. Smith, 2 ; Mists W. Upton, highly commended. In the other divisions of this clase Mr YV. H. Jackman was the principal prize winner.
