THAMES NOTES.
(BY TELEGRAM!.— OWN CORRESPONDENT.) Thames, this day. Victoria.—The return this crushing is an improvement on the yield previously obtained trom the new reet in the Prince Imperial section. The bulk of thia parcel was won from the main winzo now being sunk on the new reef from the adib down to the No. 1 level. The return goes to show thab there is good prospects awaiting the Company ab the deeper levels. Excellenb progress is being made with the removal of the'winding engine and poppeb heads. The whole of the appliances are now on the ground and a start has been made to get ib all into position. Magazine.—-The only work being carried on in this mine is the driving of a low level from the main road upon the easterly strike of a leader running in a hard channel of country. So far this level has been advanced 30 foeb from the outcrop, and now in the face the tight nature of the rock encasing the vein has been the means of pinching the lead in to a mere eeam, and until a change of country is met with, improvement in this direction need not be expected.
