HAWERA AGRICULTURAL SHOW.

The Egmonb Agricultural and Pastoral Show was favoured with beautiful weather and proved moat successful. In shorthorn cabtle, Mr Fantham took the bulk of bhe prizoa. He was wißner of champion bull'a priza with Lord Nonsuch, and for cows with a three-year-old by Oxford Duko. Other breeds wore fairly represented, and there was a great show of cattle ; Mr Reynolds, the winner ab Auckland, taking the chiof prizes, wibh Mr McGregor, of Palmerston North, second. In sheep, Mr It. B. Pearca won the Lincoln championship, There was a good show in this class, bub the other brceda \rero nob gfcrong. In horses, Messrs Noian and Tonk's Gipsy King vraa the champion. Mr R. E. Mcltae's lolanthe, by Qailt, waa the champion mare. All classes of li^hb feorees wore fairly good, but draughb* were specially strong. In the latter Glenelgr was champion. Tha besS: weighb-carrying hack prizes wenb to Mr D, yinas, of Wanga«ui. The jumping competition waa won by Mr McKenzie's horee, which was the first a» Palmeraton. The show of implements and machinery was good. Pigs, poultry, and produce were fairly sabiafacbory. The show ie admitbed to be the beat held in the district, and the attendauce waa larger than hitherto.
