The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company (Limited) report: —We had a full catalogue of hides and skins on Tuesday at our weekly auction. Competition was active and every line wa3 sold. Hides : These continue in good demand, and prices are firm at late quotations. Sheepskins : Very good sale for these, and prices showed |d per 1b advance on last recorded rates. Wool : We sold a small lot of haifbred at G^d, and have cleared a few balsa crossbred at 6^d. Rough fat sold at l^d per. ib. Wheat: We conducted an auction of wheat on Monday and another on Tuesday, at which ws cleared the damaged grain ex Rathdown at prices ranging from Is 8d to 33 per bushel in bond.
