The increased demano. for the Bread supplied or the Mutual Baking Company of Auction undar its new Coupon System has attracted mucli notice amongst the Master Bakers of Auckland. At a meeting held by certain Master Bakers mis week, it was shewn that the system of supplying bread as adopted by tho Mutual ii' y Cora P&ny under its Coupon System would entail upon every baker a. k>33 of one halfpenny profit on each loaf sold, unci resolutions were made that those persons present should use every means io prevent such a system becomiug the rule of tno trade. The Mutual Baking Company having proved to the trade that the people of Auckland would rather pay cash for their broad on the new system of coupons than pay i one halfpenny extra for the doubtful privilege OL credit, have now completed arrangements for the supply of flour required till June. 1896. To meet the largely increased demand for the bread sold by tho Company, extensive attentions, including tho erection of a new oven, are is course of completion at the t arnell s aetery. These, when completed, will euable the Company to provide a daily output or 1,640 loavw. This, however, is butaimall portion of the Company's anticipated business. out it is bufucient to show that the consumers appreciate the efforts made by the Company to reduce the bread fcille of the community.
