CHURCH UNION.
London, September 6
The Archbishop of Canterbury has issued a pastoral letter iv reply to the Pope's appeal for the re-union of the Anglican and Roman Churches. He recognises tho sincerity of the proposal, bub urge* that the so - called re-union without recognition would not only be our farewell to the other churches, but we should be called on to forget our own Church. Dr. Beneon calls on Churchmen to preserve tho faith and practices of their own primitive Catholic Church. The Kotnan modes and rewards of worship are repugnant to Teutonic Christendom.
