Replying to a question in the House, Mr Cixrzon said the question of compensating the families with respect to the Kncheng masaatcre could not be determined until the murdarera and others implicated hud been punished.

Several important arrests hare been made at Kucheng since the Commission of Inquiry arrived.

The China mail steamer brings very little freeh news regarding fctje Kucbeng massacre. The leader of the jtnob refused to show any clemency, and urged on his men with the words, "You kuow orders, kill them outright."
