FIRE ON THE ORIENT.

The fire on the Orient was soon subdued after the door between the watertight compartments, which had been left open and allowed the water bo escape, was closed by a diver. Moßt of the cargo in the forehold waa destroyed, and tho internal fittings of the vessel are much damaged.
