At the meeting of tlie Union Bank of Australia, the Chairman said the liquid assets amounted to four millions and a-quarter,' of which were invested in stocks. Sixiy-fivc per cent, of the Bank's deposits were taken at ftom 5% to 4 per cent. He mentioned that the entire staff had volun-. tarily accepted ten per cent, reduction in salaries. , ;. ' /
