The course is in capital condition, though a trifle holding. ■ Maiden Steeplechase. — Wangaimoana, 1 : Gladstone, 2; Silent Friend, 3 Other starters were:—Flywheel, Seddon. Tippler, Sawdust, * Straightfire, Toprail. The. placed horses led all the-way, and tho race was won. easily ab the finish by a length and a-half. Time, 6min 24.cc* 0 Seddon. Toprail, Tippler and Sawdust met with mishaps. As Seccombe, the rider of Wangaimoana, was unable to draw the weight,-the race was awarded to Gladstone. Dividend, ±5
