INVEKOAEGiLL,,thiB day. The inquest on the infant Hornby concluded yesterday, the verdict being wilful murder. The medical evidence was to the ■'effect'that' death was caused by asphyxiation by mechanical means, there being nothing in the state of the organs to indicate death from natural caußes. ■ . The inquesb'bn the Christchurch child, Dorothy Career, was also completed, the jury returning a verdict of v/ilful murder against Minnie Deani Professor Black deposed that a quantity of ppium had been recovered from the internal organs sufficient, toxause death, and the medical] evidence was to the effecb that the post-mortem conditions were consistent) with death from opium poisoning,
