iNVBKCAiGiLi,, this day. At Winton yesterday, Minnie Dean, wife of' Charles Dean, w^as arrested on a charge cf having, onoorrr about the 3rd instant, murdered an infant named Eva Hornotiv. She was brought before the Justices and remanded to the 16th to appear at Milton, Otago. The ,arreat was made by Detectives McGrath and Herbert., Accused has for several years ;; made } a business of keeping''infants, and was once before the Court 0^ a charge of neglecting several children ander her care, but was acquitted. The ;police are reticent as to the details of tha present • charge, bub it ia understood thai the infant was about a month old. '/-'-. : ■'■
