The president of bh& Canterbury Agricultural and Pastoral Association has sent; a telegram to the Governmenb urging the importance of making it clearly known in Greab Britain that tha cattle on the Perthshire did not come from New Zealand, and had no communication, ' >* with the shore here. * . The Health Department do nob considor ~i any further action re bhe Perthshire's cattla necessary, as there was no communication with the shore, all the cabtle were Australian, and the Government will now have to consider the expediency of prohibiting the ; importation of Australian cattle. The Government have cabled to the ■ r Agent-General to take precautions to make it clear that the Perthshire's shipment of ' • cabtle has nothing to do with New Zealand. Communications are also passing jf with the Queensland Government.
