NEW GROUND PEGGED OUT.

A marvellous change has come over Coromandei. Several of the mines are obtaining excellent .results, prospecting is going on in all directions, and generally the place, presents a scene, of business-like activity thab augurs well for the future of the district. Severer new pieces of ground were pegged bub here lasb week in areas of from one to a hundred acres, extending from the lona claim, which adjoins the Hauraki, right across the bay bosKeven's Point. Nearly the whole of this ground is underwater, bub several leaders have been discovered running in this direction, and ib is believed good gold will be got .there.
