Glaegow, Lady Glasgow, a party from Gdv.ernrn^enb'House, His Worship the Mayor ami Mrs Holland, The Government House party arrived at nine o'clock, and were' received by the Commodore of bhe Glub, Mr S. T. George, and members of the Committee,; and im- ' mediately afterwards the ball wis opened by bhe lancers, in the princiimJsebHia Excellency and Mrs. Georgef, Mr Holland and Mrs Tewaley, Mr Tewsley and Mrs Holland, Mr J. Stev;enson and; Mrs Holmes, Mr R. Johnson Misa: Eastwood,'Mr Clayton and Mrs ,1. R. Bloomfield took parb. Then followed some eighteen dances, and it was about three o'clock this morning-when the balicterminated. Music was; provided by ; string band, and the general arrangtiments were looked after by a Committee consißbing of the following gentlemen :—Messrs H. iS. ABhfcon, E. B. Anderson, A. S. Barnkart, [J.
