Amongst the;list of cases on the charge sheet.at .be, Police; Court to-day: were two broughb under bbc Police Offences Act against William Morrison for having, it was alleged, been the tenant of certain premises in Wellesley - streeb on. the 4th instant, and knowingly permitted such premises to be used- as a brothel, and against Kate Morrison for having, it was alleged, assisted in the management of a brothel. Owing to the large number of other cases to be dealt with, Mr O'Meagher, who appeared for1 the defendants, asked this morning thab they be adjourned till two o'clock, which was granted. This afternoon another case beingstill unfinished, Mr O'Meagher asked for a further adjournment bill to-morrow or Monday, as tbe cases were very serious, and wouldprobably take a whole day to, themselves. Mr Bush said there ivduld probably be some'other caae3 at important on Monday, and ib would be better to go on wibh the cases in question after the one being heard was finished; Sergeanb Gamble said there wore nine witnesses for the prosecution.
