The several crickeb matches commenced and io progress on the Domain last Saturday will be resumed to-morrow. The Senior Championship match is so far advanced now, after three Saturdays' play, thab it is expected the game will be brought to a conclusion beforo tho close of the day's play, and ospocially will this bo the case if tho prevailing web weather continues. In tho event of thero beiug a bad wicket, it may bo taken for granted the match will bo decided in favour of Parnoll, as Gordon have already 170 tuns to make while Parnell have another 5 wickets toYali $o £oi»----ploto their second innings. In bhe Excelsior v. Mount Eden match to be played on the Domain, tho following will be the teams •.—Excelsior: Beach, Donnelly, Davies', Lovett, Lowe, Mclnnes, Pascoe, Perkins (capt.), Shophard, Wilson, and Vickery. Mount Eden: Airey, Davis, Alexander, Edwards, Hesketh, Howard, Pittarj Stewart (2), Shepherd and Walton.
A team chosen from the following names will represent the Dairymen in their match v. Onehunga, to be played in the Domain : —Greenwood (captain), Kilgour, Conblly, Jones, McGuinness, Lankham (senr.), Hurndall. Siddall, Dunning, Lewis, Midgley, Ambury, Copeland, Rowe, Bowden.
The Comic Opera Company's crack cricket team has made quite a triumphal procession through the colony, beating pretty well every local team they tackled. Yesterday bhey added another win to their already long list of victories in bhe crickeb field. The Opera Company team played a match on the Domain-Cricket Ground wibh an eleven representing tho Licensed Vie tuallers of this city.' The hotelkeepers managed to knock up 202 runs during their innings, but. tho Opera Company players wenb even beHer, and when the stumps were drawn they had made 216 runs for three wickeb. down, bhe licensed victuallers being given a considerable amount of " leather * hunting." For the winners, Sydney Ddane made the exceedingly fine score of 106 runs, batting splendidly throughout.
