Wellington, this day., It is stated thab Mr Guinness, M.H.R., ha 3 been retained by the Midland Railway Company as junior counsel, and thab ibis doubtful whether Mr H. D. Bell will hold a brief for the Company. The Governmenb are raising obstacles to his doing so, although he has acted as counsel for the CotFtpany before the Parliamentary Committees of the last two sessions of Parliament.
