OUR GOLDFIELDS.
Kapakga (Coromandel).— Legge's tribute party finished their crushing of general stuff yesterday for a return of 3950za. The Company alao obtained 3310z& of gold from a parcel of specimenc • Moanataiabi. — The manager reports there are still two men prospectiug around the old workings on No. 9 reef, underneath the point where the big patch was got. A good class of country is still being penetrated on Jones' load in the eastern drive ab the 100 foot level. The lode is composed of nice, kindly-looking quartz, which shows good etrong colours of gold each breaking down. There are two stopes in hand here, but the quartz coming to hand from both ia of very low grade. The usual number of men are still being employod on the Golden Age footwall leads and the Dawn of Hope lead above the Point Ruasell level. The amalgam to hand for the week is 40ozs from 76 tons of quartz, and lOozs from 141 tons surface dust.
