An inquest on Howard waa held this morning, when the evidence, showed that deceased came from Sydney about nine mo nth a ago. Tho death of his wife seemed ~to prey, on his mind, and be took to drink *to drown cares and financial troubles. Howard had expreseed the opinion to a friend, that he hoped never to spend such another Christmas. The deceased is an American by birth.
