HOSPITAL AND CHARITABLE AID BOARD.
The ordinary meeting of the Auckland Hospital and Charitable Aid Board was held this afternoon, whon there were present: Messrs P. Dignan (Chairman), Swales, Kissling, W. B. White, Bruce, and J. Gordon.
J. Thorp's Case.—Mr J. Thorp wrote desiring an inquiry with reference to the recenb death of his" child.—lt was decided to receive the letter and to inform Mr Thorp that the matter would nob be reopened, the Chairman stating that Mr Thorp had been allowed to withdraw bis charge.
Charlotte Chambers.—A letter from the Auckland Women's Liberal League enclosing a resolution denouncing bbc recenb action of Dr. Makgill, with reference to tbe case of tbe girl Charlotte Chambers was received without discussion.
Treatment of Patients.—With reference to certain complaints made by patients in the North Auckland Hospital Districb with reference to their treatment in the Auckland Hospital, the medical officer's report was submitted conbraverting bhese charges and explaining details of treatment with regard to certain patients.—lt was decided to send a copy of the report to the Chairman of the North Auckland Board.
