GOOD PRICES EXPECTED.
London, January 5. The prices for frozen meab are likely to keep up owing bo bhe shortness of supplies from the Argentine Republic. Nelson Bros.' quote good Australian crosabreds, 3Jd per lb. Victorian poultry has created a favourable impression on the market. Its quality is almosb perfect, and the oublook for the trade in this line is promising. Ib is suggesbed bhab poultry should be frozen prior to packing, and that packing in a divided crate without cardboard boxes would effect a saving in freighb. Importers expecb good prico3 if poulbry maintains the quality of 1894 shipments. Shipments ahould be timed bo arrive in February, March and April, bhe besb market being obbainable in March.
