The number of persons who arrived in the colony during the month of November was 2,817, and. the number who lefb was 1278. Of those who arrived, 1,136 entered at Auckland, whilst only 755 lefb Auckland. During the monch, 10 Chinese arrived ab Auckland, 16 ab Wellingbon, and one at Bluff,/and two left Wellington. Constable ,Douglas. Gordon has been appointed Inspector of Factories for the l?ay of Islands district1. , The Governor-in-Council has approved of the" Waiiiku Cavalry Volunteers being formed into mounted rifles, under the title of bhe Waiuku, Mounted Rifle Volunteers. . . ■ ■;' There will be a sitting of the Native Land Court, at Whangarei, about January 2Srd. _..,.:_... -
