A REBELLION THREATENED.
POLICY OF RETRENCHMENT
NECESSARY,
Caiko, December 19. The Egyptian Council has approved the report that the ill-conditioned state of the Fellaheen, which has never been equalled, and the low prices ruling and high taxes imposed are risking rebellion.
The Council suggests that a large policy ot retrenchment be adopted by dismissing highly paid Europeans and employing natives.
