London, December 17, A circular has been, issued by. six persons who hold worth of shares in the South-Eastern .Railway Company, strongly advocating Mr E. M. Eddy, at present Chief Commissioner of the New South Wales railways, as Chairman of the Company. The circular eulogises his administration of the colonial railways, ;arid declares that the directors would not welcome the appointment unless the shareholders insist on it.

Lojidon, December 18. The "Morning Post" thinks the proposal to appoint Mr Eddy Chairman of the South-Eastern Railway Company is well worth the shareholders' consideration. --^_^
