Mr W.. L. and Lily Rees, the joint authors of this interesting book, brought to their task a devotion which could nob fail in iba purpose of presenting Sir George Grey as a vivid personality. They had free access to all the public documenbs referring to Sir Georgo Grey's remarkable career in Western Ausbralia, South Aastralia, New Zealand, and Sonth Africa. As far as the colony is concerned, an acquaintance with Sir George Grey's life implies a knowledge of the most interesting feature* of New Zealand history. No bebter book than this can be placed in the hands of the young. We have no doubt thab in its cheaper forma the work will have a wide sals.
