CHURCH SERVICES.
Yesterday reference was made in several of the city pulpits to the unif.od mission of the Rev. John McNeill and Mr J. H. Burke. To-dny a meeting for prayer waa held w the V.M.C.A. Rooms. l\v MeNeill arrives here from the 3outh on Wednesday. The evangelistic address at the City rlall last evening was delivered by the Rev. S. Lawry, Mr Brakenrig presiding. Sacred solos were eung by Mi?s Alice Rimmer during the service.
Special Salvation Army services were held yesterday, the occasion being the farewelling of Colonel Bailey, the leader of the Army "in New Zealand, at the Albert-street and Newton Barracks. To-nieht colonel Bailey and the other local officers will welcome Commissioner Coombes, General Booth's Australian representative, who is at present on a visit to the colony.
