ANNUAL MEETING.
THE fourteenth meeting of the Industrial and Providenb Building Land and Investmenb Society was held ab the Society s offices in Queen-streeb, on Friday afternoon. Mr Henry G. Wade (president) presided. The Manager, Mr Bancroft, submitted the annual reporb and balance-eheeb (published in Friday's issue). ~„„«„„ The Chairman, in moving the adoption of the reporb, said thab building societies had been on their trial tor some time, but during, tho pasb year the members of this Society might congratulate themselves that they had come out of the ordeal very well indeed. In fact there.were now signs of returning prosperity. Though JhTwholo of the business did show a slight shdnkago compared with former yearstransactions tfaev could congratulate hemsalvason the'value of their securities, and upon the facb thab the oubside public, as rep?esented by depositors, were taking a creator interest in the Society.
