SAT URDAY'S MATCHES. The Tennis Association inter-Club doubles were continued on Saturday under favour^ ablo circumstances, the weather being- . beautifully fine. The Auckland Club met " Onehunga, each winning 3 matches, and the Parnell representatives won 4 out of ;' the 6 matches played with West End. The scores of the clubs for the two Satur- . days stand as follows :—West Erid § 6; ' , Auckland, 5 ; Onehunga, 5 ; Devonport, 4; ..< Parnell, 4. The two, last clubs have only ; played cix matches in all, having had byes, the other clubs have played 12 matches > , each. The next round of the inter-dub-matches will be played on January 12, ; when Onehunga plays Parnell, and Wesb ' End plays Bevonport, Auckland having a bye. . • The following are the results of Satur- . , day's matches :— -,■ WEST END V. In the ladies' double Mrs ' Blair and Miss Mowbray (P.) provedtoo ; sbrongforthe Misses Rusßell and F. Dill" » ington (W.E.), winning 6—l, 6-1. Th 6. combined double was well contested, and resulted in a win for the Parnell player?, . Miss Ruck and Mr Harrison, who defeated' Mrs and Mr Gentles, 6—l, 3-6, 6-3. " At West End : Messrs Brabanb and T. / Patterson (W.E.) won by 3 eefcs to lose from Messrs J. P. Stevenson and. E. Watkw | (P. J6—3, 7—5, 6—2. The combined match; ' resulted in a win for Parnell, Misfi ? aTX and Mr Rich (P.) defeating Miss CaldweH , and Mr Foster (W.E,) 6—2, I—6, 6-3. The best contested match of the, six played between the two clubs waß undoubtedly the ladies double, Mrs Harruorr ' , and Miss Kempthorne (P.) winning, afwr »\ most exciting game, from Miss C.
