THE UPOLU.
; The s.s. Upolu, which made port about 5*30 o'clock this morning, is the firsb steamer to arrive in the new trade between Sydney, the Islands and Auckland. Of the trip Mr Bond, the purser, to whom we are indebted forfiles, etc., reports:—-Shelefb Sydney at 11 p.m. on 23rd ulb., coaled at Newcastle on 24th, and proceeded on voyage ab 6 p.m., arriving ab Suva on the 3rd inafc- ab 1 a.m ; left Suva the same day, and after calling ab Levuka, reached Samoa at 9 p.m. on the 6th; discharged and loaded cargo on the 7th and Bbh inst., and left on latter date ab 8 p.m. and proceeded to Pango Pango. Afker taking in copra and calling ab Vavau and Haapai, made Tongababu ab 8 a.m. on the 12tb j discharged cargo, loaded bananas, and took our departure ab 5.30 p.m, for Auck«-
land. Experienced fine weather and light easterly winds on voyage., Mokohinau was sighted ab 8 p.m. on Sunday, passed T'a\ Tiri ab 4 a.m., and arrived at) wharf ftS above.
