ARRIVAL OF THE PREMIER.
MR /SEDDON IN AUCKLAND.
THE MINISTERIAL PROGRAMME.
The Horn. R. J. Seddon, Premier of New Zealand, arrived in town to-day from the South, via the West Coast. Mr Seddon, who 'is accompanied by Mrs Seddon, and • Messra Hamer (Private Secretary), and J. Grfiy (Assistant Secretary), arrived ao Onehunga at 12.30 p.m. Jby the B.s. .Mahinapua from New Plyj'mouth. On Sanding they were met by a number of representative Auckland citizens, including tbe Hons. W. Swanson and W, Jennings, 'M.L.O.'s., Mr F. Lawry, M.H.R., Mr J. J. Holland, Mayor of Auckland (who was accompanied by his daughters), Mrs Yates (Mayor of Onehunga), Messrs Hudson aud Coom, of the Railway Department, and others. Carriages wose in waiting, and Mr Seddon and party were driven into towD, staying at the Hor'.. Mr Swanson's place for lunch. In the afbornoon they took up their quarters at tha'Star Hotel.
Mr, C. A. Clarke, Mayor of Tauranga, arrivfad here to-day from Tauranga by the s.s. ,'vVaiobahi, in order to meet Mr Seddon and accompany him to the opening of bhe Rotorua Railway.
